Short answer: Dime LA Media shoots and edits short films in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and they show up in three places. Events: a 60 to 90 second Highlight Film or a 2 to 3 minute Recap Film, $450 or $850 added to photo coverage, $650 or $1,200 booked on their own, delivered in 1 to 2 weeks. Weddings: a 3 to 4 minute recap of the day, add-on only, available inside the Hybrid collection and never sold on its own. Social Media Content & Management: short-form video is already included every month from $1,000. Filmed and edited by Lloyd Duimstra.

Weddings run one length only, a 3 to 4 minute recap of the day, and it lives inside the Hybrid collection. Multi-day and conference work is quoted to scope.
The Short Version

I am already at your event, already reading the room and knowing where the moment is about to happen. The camera that catches it just rolls instead of clicking. That is why film is priced as an add-on almost everywhere on this site: one person, one day, one trip.
Straight Up
Film is newer to me than photography and I am not going to pretend otherwise. The rates are introductory because of it, and I take a limited number of film dates so each one gets the attention it needs. Turnaround is 1 to 2 weeks; if the calendar is going to make that longer for your date, you will hear it from me before you sign. Judge the scope on this page, not a production studio's reel. Tell me what the day is and what you want out of it, and I will tell you straight whether one of these two lengths is the right fit.

Never sold on its own. No video-only booking, and the price never splits into a photo half and a video half. It lives in one place, the Hybrid collection, which always brings full photo coverage and a second photographer.

- Drone work, scripted scenes, or a full ceremony edit
- A guarantee a specific moment is caught on video. When a moment can only be caught one way, it is caught in photo
- Priced like a video studio, because it is not one
Common Questions
How much does a film cost?
For events: a Highlight Film is $450 added to photo coverage or $650 on its own, and a Recap Film is $850 added or $1,200 on its own. Multi-day and conference films are quoted to scope. Wedding film is not priced separately at all, it comes inside the Hybrid collection at $3,300 for 8 hours or $3,900 for 10 hours. Short-form video for social is included monthly on the $1,000, $1,500, and $2,200 plans. All prices are before South Dakota sales tax.
Can I book film without photography?
For events, yes. For weddings, no. Wedding film is only ever part of Hybrid, which always includes the full photo coverage and a second photographer, so the photos never give an inch while the film gets made. That pairing is the reason the wedding film works as well as it does.
Why are the rates called introductory?
Because film is the newest part of the studio and I would rather say that out loud than let a price imply otherwise. Photography is my proven craft. Film is where I am growing, the rates reflect it, and I take a limited number of film dates each season so the ones I do take get done right.
Do I get the raw footage?
No. You get the finished film and its vertical cut, delivered as high-resolution downloads and yours to post anywhere. Raw footage stays with the studio, the same way unedited photo files do.
How long until I get it?
Event films land in 1 to 2 weeks, both lengths. Wedding films run 8 to 10 weeks, since they sit behind a full gallery. If a run of booked dates would push your film past that window, you hear the real timeline from me before you sign rather than after. And if you have a hard deadline, say so at inquiry and it gets scoped into the quote.
