Travel

Sioux Falls and anywhere within 30 miles of it: no travel fee. Past that, round trip mileage is added at the current IRS standard rate, 76¢ per mile as of 2026. The exact figure is in your quote before you book, never added after.

A note on wedding film I haven't released a wedding film yet, though I'm booked for hybrid weddings now. That's why the rates are introductory. I've photographed weddings for years and shot and edited film for clients, and I believe the two together can make a great wedding film. You can watch everything I've filmed so far. None of it is a wedding, so it shows how I shoot and cut, not what your film will look like.

Please read before inquiring There is no standalone wedding video service. The recap film is never sold separately from the photography, there is no video-only package, and I don't shoot a wedding as videographer only. Hybrid is the one place wedding film is offered, and it always includes the full photo coverage. If video on its own is what you're after, just say so and I'll refer you to a videographer I trust.

How hybrid coverage works

  • Two shooters, one team. The second photographer covers photo full-time, so photography never pauses while I film
  • Lloyd leads photo all day and films the key moments: ceremony, first dances, toasts, plus the in-between and behind-the-scenes moments throughout
  • Two coverage options: 8 hours with 350 edited images ($3,300) or 10 hours with 450 edited images ($4,000)
  • Sold only as a complete package. Coverage is not split, shortened, or sold as photo-only or video-only
  • Your chosen coverage block is a firm cap with no added hours. Days that run longer are quoted custom

The recap film

  • One recap film of your day, 3 to 4 minutes, about the length of a song. Cut to licensed music, with audio from your day where quality allows
  • What it is: the best moments of your day cut together to music, from the ceremony, first dances, and toasts to the in-between and behind-the-scenes moments. What it is not: a full video production or a recording of your whole day. You won't get the full ceremony or every speech start to finish, and it isn't a long movie of the day. I film it myself on one camera, so there's no video crew and no drone
  • One revision round included, covering timing and clip swaps. Re-edits and song changes after the edit are quoted separately
  • Raw footage is not included and is not released
  • Delivered within 8 to 10 weeks, separate from the photo gallery

The fine print, worth reading

  • I haven't released a wedding film yet, and the rates are introductory because of it. I've photographed weddings for years, and film is where I'm growing. That's exactly why a second photographer is built into this collection: photo coverage stays complete no matter what
  • Set your expectations by what's listed above, not by a full video production. This is a short recap of your day at a recap price. If you want your whole ceremony and every speech filmed start to finish, I'm happy to recommend a videographer I trust
  • When a moment can only be caught one way, it's caught in photo. Specific moments are not guaranteed on film
  • Audio depends on venue conditions. Vows and toasts are featured where quality allows; the film is cut to music throughout
  • Music selection, pacing, and color grade are at Lloyd's artistic discretion

How much does wedding photography cost in Sioux Falls?
Starting at $2,200 for the Essentials collection (8 hrs, 1 photographer). Story is $2,900 and adds a second shooter. Legacy is $3,500 for up to 10 hrs with 2 photographers, a day-of coordinator, and USB drive. Hybrid adds a short recap film of the day to two-shooter photo coverage at introductory rates: $3,300 for 8 hrs (350 images) or $4,000 for 10 hrs (450 images). Every collection includes a complimentary engagement session, and custom quotes are available for days that don't fit a standard package.

Do you offer video? Can I book video only?
Video yes, video only no. Video is available in exactly one place, the Hybrid collection, and it comes with the photography as a single package. I don't sell the film on its own, I don't shoot a wedding as videographer only, and the price never splits into a photo half and a video half. If video alone is what you need, say the word and I'll point you to a dedicated videographer I trust. Hybrid is a lead plus a second photographer covering photo and film, at $3,300 for 8 hours (350 images) or $4,000 for 10 hours (450 images), sold only as a complete package with a firm hour cap. Photos arrive within 40 days, the film within 8 to 10 weeks. I haven't released a wedding film yet, so the rates are introductory and I only take a limited number of hybrid weddings each season. Can I see a wedding film you've made? What will mine be like?
Not yet. I haven't released a wedding film, though I'm booked for hybrid weddings now, which is why the rates are introductory. I've photographed weddings for years and shot and edited film for clients, and I believe the two together can make a great wedding film. See my portfolio and everything I've filmed so far. None of it is a wedding, so it isn't a sample of your film.
Your film is a short highlight of your day, 3 to 4 minutes, clipped together from pieces of it and cut to licensed music, with audio from the day where the venue allows. It is not a full video production, a cinematic wedding film, or a recording of your whole day, so no full ceremony or speeches start to finish.
Photography comes first, so I film in pieces, on one camera, with no video crew and no drone. No specific moment is guaranteed on film, and music, pacing, and color are my call. It isn't a substitute for a dedicated wedding videographer, and if that's what you want, I'll point you to one I trust. The Hybrid contract spells out these limits.

Do you travel for destination weddings?
Yes. Based in Sioux Falls, SD and available throughout South Dakota and the surrounding region. Destination weddings are welcome. Reach out to discuss travel details and custom pricing.

How far in advance should I book?
Most couples book 6–18 months in advance, especially for peak summer and fall dates. Dates are held with a signed contract and 50% non-refundable retainer. Reach out as early as possible to lock in your date.

What's your photography style?
Documentary, edited true to color. The goal is capturing what's actually happening, not staging it, with clean, consistent edits that still feel emotional in ten years. Style is hard to put in words, so the best way to see it is my portfolio.

What if we skip the engagement session?
Totally fine, but the collection price stays the same. The session is complimentary, not a line item. The price covers your wedding day; the engagement session is on me, because couples who do it are noticeably more relaxed in their photos.

How much is a proposal or an engagement session on its own?
A standalone engagement session is $425. Proposal coverage, surprise or planned, is $575 and includes portraits of the two of you right after the yes. Either way, $300 credits back toward any wedding collection booked within 12 months. Full details are near the top of this page.

Do you charge a travel fee?
Not inside Sioux Falls or within 30 miles of it, that's included. Past that, round trip mileage is added at the current IRS standard rate, 76¢ per mile as of 2026, and it's quoted before you book rather than added to the invoice afterward. Wedding day travel within Sioux Falls and that 30 mile radius is already included in every collection.

Do you share the photos and videos you take of my project or event?
Yes. Every photo, video, and recording captured with your booking or session stays part of my portfolio. When you book any Dime LA Media service, you agree that Dime LA Media may use the images captured or recorded with that booking or session, including images of you, your team, your business, and your event, in its portfolio, website, social media, and marketing, with no fee and no time limit. Signing up is your consent. There is no separate form and no opt-out, because this is the only way I work, and if that does not work for you, we are not the right fit. What I deliver to you is still yours to use as your agreement says. This applies to bookings made on or after 9.25.2026 and does not change earlier bookings.

Does my wedding have to be big or traditional to book here as a wedding?
No. If a marriage, domestic partnership, commitment, or vow exchange ceremony is taking place, it books and prices as a wedding regardless of guest count, venue, how formal it is, or whether it is a first, second, or later marriage. Courthouse signings, elopements, backyard or at-home ceremonies, and vow renewals all qualify. Elopements and non-traditional days are quoted through the Custom collection above rather than booked as an Event on the Events page. If a wedding is booked under Event pricing instead, the agreement lets me invoice the difference up to the correct wedding rate before delivering files, decline to document the ceremony itself, or both.
