Every Session Includes
  • A pre-session consult on location, wardrobe, and timing, so we both walk in knowing the plan.
  • Direction the whole way through. You will never have to wonder what to do with your hands.
  • Hand editing on every delivered frame, finished one at a time. No batch presets.
  • A private online gallery, live for 90 days, with full-resolution downloads.
  • A personal-use print release, so you can print wherever you like.
  • Sneak peeks within 48 hours. Full gallery within one week.
Good To Know
  • Image counts are exact. Each session lists the number of finished images you receive. If the light is generous you may get more, but that number is the commitment.
  • Session time starts at the scheduled time. A late arrival shortens the session rather than extending it.
  • Weather. Outdoor sessions reschedule at no cost for rain, storms, or unsafe conditions. One reschedule is included.
  • Retouching. Color, tone, exposure, and light skin cleanup are included. Body reshaping, object removal, and composites are quoted separately.
  • Travel. Free within 30 miles of Sioux Falls. Beyond that, round-trip mileage is added at the current IRS standard rate, 76 cents per mile as of 2026.
  • Usage. Portrait and family images are licensed for personal use. Commercial or promotional use is quoted separately.
  • Unedited files are not delivered. The edit is the work. Full legal terms live on the terms page.

How much do portrait sessions cost?
Pet sessions start at $250, seniors at $350, families and couples at $400, and the solo and lifestyle Portrait Session is $550. Session lengths and image counts are itemised in the pricing section, which is the one place I keep rates. Engagement sessions and proposal coverage are priced on the wedding page.
When should I book?
2 to 4 months out is ideal. Spring and summer fill quickly. Fall light in South Dakota is a favorite for outdoor sessions. The earlier you reach out, the more date options you'll have.
What should we wear?
Wear something you feel like yourself in. Solid colors and simple patterns photograph best. After booking, Lloyd sends a style guide tailored to your session type so everyone shows up prepared.
Where are sessions held?
Based in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. Outdoor locations, indoor spaces, or somewhere that means something to you. Location gets figured out together when you book.
I'm not photogenic, will this work?
Everyone says that. Nobody believes it after they see their gallery. I don't need you to pose, I need you to be there. The camera does the rest, and you get direction the whole way through so you are never left wondering what to do with your hands.
Do you photograph newborns and pets?
Yes to both. Newborn and milestone moments are covered within family sessions, and dedicated pet sessions start at $250. The approach is relaxed and natural, no stiff poses, just real moments. Reach out to check availability.
